The Montessori Philosophy Workshops for the 3–6 age group are designed to provide a comprehensive overview of Dr. Maria Montessori’s educational approach, specifically tailored to the developmental needs of children in early childhood. These workshops offer hands-on training in the use of Montessori materials and explore the core principles of the Montessori method, aiming to prepare participants to implement this philosophy effectively in a classroom setting.
By the end of the training, participants will have a strong understanding of child psychology for ages 3 to 6 and how to respond to common developmental needs. They will be able to set up a complete Montessori classroom environment, manage the classroom with confidence, and observe children’s behavior and learning progress in line with Montessori principles. Participants will learn how to develop educational plans on an annual, monthly, and weekly basis, and how to establish a structured and engaging daily routine that supports children’s independence and curiosity.
In addition, trainees will be able to enrich the classroom with meaningful and creative activities across all Montessori areas. They will gain the ability to support children emotionally and behaviorally, bringing calm and order to moments of inner chaos. They will also develop the skills to create many Montessori materials by hand, especially when working in resource-limited settings.
Through this program, participants will gain practical knowledge in the five core Montessori areas: Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, and Cultural Subjects such as geography, science, music, and art. They will also learn how to integrate peace education, yoga, and creative arts such as drama into the child’s daily experience.
The training will help participants internalize the Montessori philosophy, understand its vocabulary, and discover ways to apply its methods creatively according to the needs of each child. They will develop empathy and awareness of developmental stages, and learn to apply Montessori principles across a variety of educational settings.
Note: The certificates awarded upon completion of this program are not academic degrees, but serve as recognition of participation in the training titled "International Montessori Philosophy Diploma."
